During the June holidays, my sister and husband brought my father(86) and stepmom to visit from Natal. Due to work commitment we had not seen each other in 6 years,. As it had been so long, and I had missed my sister’s 50th as well, I came up with a brilliant plan to surprise everyone in my family. My youngest daughter had her 21st last year and had wanted to go to Admirals, just on hearing how my eldest daughter had raved about it. Her 21st was a disaster, as my ex(her father) pulled out with financial assistance a week before the booked date. She was SO disappointed!!! So to make up to her and all the other milestone birthdays we couldn’t celebrate through the year (due to financial pressure, as some family members are on short-time) I decided to have a combined Birthday Bash at Admirals. I bought balloons for: 18th – my husband’s granddaughter 21st – my daughter 40th – my husband’s son 50th – mine & my sister’s ( 3Yrs later) 60ish – my husband’s (a week later) 80ish – my Dad’s ( a month earlier) Admiral’s staff phoned me up on the booked day, to confirm the booking. I thought that was great!! They were so friendly and warm towards us. My stepdaughter and I went in the afternoon to sort out the tables and drop off the balloons. The staff were so helpful and arranged a table in the corner, near the buffet area. Convenient for my aging father. They changed the table clothes and help put up the banners and balloons and decorated the tables as we wanted them. That alone already impressed us so much. What b a surprise for all the family when we arrived there that evening. Then came the food. WOW!! We were really besides ourselves. A sight that will stay with me forever is my father and stepmom standing at the chocolate fountain, dipping their marshmallows in and eating them, like two little children. They were really enjoying themselves. Needless to say, we had a great evening and it was enjoyed by all. To round it off, we have some wonderful photos to bring back great memories of a superb time together. Thank you ADMIRALS. You are tops, and we will definitely come again.
